Hello people
why hello this is my website and I love cheese. I will tell you about all the different types of cheese. Click the buttons
GOUDA CHEESE |
Gouda cheese is made from cultured milk and then the whey is strained. After that it's soaked, and dried and aged, to make a sweet and yummy cheese. 100% one of my faves. (got from wikipedia) it's also made in wheels, as shown in the photo. super yummy omg
SWISS CHEESE |
Swiss cheese is made from cow's milk, enzymes, and brine. During the process of making it, gas bubbles are trapped in the cheese, and when it's fully done, these gas bubbles create those iconic swiss-cheesy holes. Personally, swiss cheese isn't my favorite, but I will admit it's a very unique cheese.
CHEDDAR CHEESE |
Cheddar cheese starts out like regular cheese: curdled milk which is strained to get rid of the whey. But for cheddar cheese, it goes through cheddaring, which is a proccess where the cheese is cut and stacked on one another, and more whey is squeezed out. This is repeated until the final product has very little whey in it and is dense and crumbly. Then it's aged, and sharp cheddar takes a longer time to age.
BRIE CHEESE |
Brie cheese starts out as rennet added to milk, then the curds are strained and it's put into a mold(to give it its shape) then a layer of mold is allowed to grow on the cheese(its edible lol) and there you have yummy cheese.
BLUE CHEESE |
Blue cheese is made when cheese curds get injected with Penicillium roqueforti, which is a mold, and after a bunch of days, the blue cheese is made. The flavor of blue cheese is very unique, and a lot of people love it. Personally, I think it's okay, but the blue mold freaks me out sometimes.
MOZZARELLA CHEESE |
Mozzarella cheese is easy to make- you just add the rennet to heated milk, strain the curds, and stretch it until it's smooth and pretty. Then you eat it. It goes so well with anything, and it's such a delicious cheese!
